Small Arms Firing School is a portion of that mandate and military marksmanship programs are required to send shooter-instructors to help. Each shooter-instructor mentored eight students and helped hundreds of new shooters today.

Federal law continues to require the annual conduct of Small Arms Firing Schools, which now instructs over one thousand pistol and rifle shooters every year in firearms safety and fundamental marksmanship skills.
